Old Timey Fun……

0… hello and greetings from casa del hillbilly, in the beautiful foothills of Northern California. Can I say that I absolutely LOVE this time of year! The smells, the colors, the weather! I hope things in your neck of the woods are nice! Now, we live in the heart of California’s gold country so I have always grown up with a fondness of  our wild west history; so when I came across this exhibit I had to share. It combines three things I dig, olde timey photos, the West and Native American history. If you happen to be in Bend Oregon, between now and Halloween, check out the Edward Curtis; “shadow catcher” exhibit at the A6 gallery. Curtis, a famous photographer from Seattle Washington, spent thirty years photographing native tribes across the West, British Columbia and Alaska. His massive 20 volume “the North American Indian” is thought to be one of the most thorough documentations of Indian culture and life. The exhibit hours are Monday thru Saturday 10am to 7pm and Sundays 12pm to 5pm, and A6 Docents lead a tour  on Saturdays at 4pm. Well, that’s it for now. This weekend I hope you all get a chance to get out and do something’ fun! Until next time …
